The following posting is my response to this question that Edward was asked on the “listening-l” (Krishnamurti) mailing list:
“Do you see a new consciousness enveloping the world?
What is the world conscious of that will resolve our problems?
Are we all going to hold hands and sing songs?”

I do not proclaim to see the new consciousness for the planet that Edward born within himself. I do see the manifestation of its essence through him. I do not see the possibility he sees for a new world where peace will prevail. I suppose he sees that because he is it. I see that he presents to the world the possibility he speaks of. I seethat he is everything he speaks. I can see that Edward’s actions come from the “unknown” and that unknown is the place or space of pure love. It cannot be destroyed because force cannot destroy it.
Hmm, after saying all that, I see the lie in what I just wrote, for if I see the new consciousness in him, then I see the possiblty of it for this world. I learned via Edward: say what is in you to say; then look to see the truth and the lie in what you say. Of course, it’s much more effective if you can do that verbally.
Wow, imagine if everybody on the planet could look to see and discover the lie in the truth and the truth in the lie of their words, we would have a new way of living, a new consciousness for sure. We would have politicians constantly going around saying, “Wait a minute. I just lied.” We would have people saying, “Wow, I just spout belief. I don’tactually live it. The moment you do that you have spoken the truth. When people begin to speak the truth, they’ll see that they don’t really believe. They have just been taught that is what they should do.
We can discover for ourselves if the truth does really set you free. A perfect liberation.
