Marilyn: What happens when you really do not know, not just not knowing what to do; but, also, not already knowing anything?
Edward: When the actual I do not know occurs, there is a shift in consciousness. You could call it a paradigm shift. You would then live your life from the space of creation or intelligence, aka, the unknown, and the result could be transformation.
People, however, do not care to live in the unknown or even consider it a possibility because it requires not knowing what is in the unknown.
M: What would move a person to say I don’t know?
E: The main ingredient, even if it is only in the instant of the question, is humility.
M: What is humility?
E: Humility is the simple ability to speak the truth in any given situation.
There are two I don’t knows. When you discover you do not know, you also discover you didn’t know that you did not know. That is a huge discovery.
M: I haven’t discovered I didn’t know that I didn’t know. That makes my head spin. That really puts me in the place of not knowing. What do I do now?
E: I do not know. Stay there. Just stay there.
