I am a relationship coach for individuals or groups. That means I assist people with mastering the psychology of self. In order to have a great relationship with another, we need to first perfect our relationship with ourselves. It is possible to bring forth a perfected relationship with our spouses, partners, children, parents, and everyone we come in contact with through a transformation of self.
I have been conducting seminars and workshops for over thirty years – since a personal transformation in 1979. Looking back at the action of what I did prior to my transformation, I discovered that it was speaking truth with myself. The adage that truth shall set you free is only partially true. The truth, however, is that truth must be spoken in order to free you.
The linguistic action of speaking truth is the catalyst for bringing forth a fundamental change at the core of our being. On the surface, this may sound simple, but the ego acts a sentinel that guards and protects the lies that we have been living and hiding in for years. Since you have given the job of not only protecting yourself and also being yourself to the ego, it is extremely difficult to get past it.
As the truth of self is uncovered and spoken, we learn, at our core, to trust what to do before thinking tells us to do it another way – its way. We can learn a manner in which to act without thought directing the action.
The ability to trust in ourselves is the greatest trust we can give, for in that trust, thought will no longer be directing our actions. When age old thought patterns and thinking stand down, intelligence can operate in our lives. It is this intelligence that will free us to be the human beings we are destined to be, and when that happens, we will never need to follow another’s direction. We will be the truth.
